Environmental monitoring

Environmental monitoring of the plant is conducted in compliance with strict environmental standards. Manual monitoring monitors either via a Continuous Emission Monitoring System (CEMS), or all emissions with a potential for environmental impact.

Operational monitoring shall be used to assess the effectiveness of controls, including hardware and operational aspects, which influence environmental performance. It provides information to assess whether standards are being achieved, and it detects deviations from regulatory requirements.

EPROM Environmental department prepared an air-monitoring plan with guidance of the Environmental Impact Assessment.

EPROM mobile air monitoring lab is designed to measure most ambient air pollutants that are associated with the oil and gas industry, measured pollutants are: Total Hydrocarbons, Sulfur dioxide, Nitrogen oxides, Particulate Matter (PM10), Ozone and Carbon Monoxide. We are currently monitoring 17 different companies inside Alexandria area in a semi-annual basis checking for air pollutants using the attached measuring equipment.
