The profits of the Egyptian Refining Company rise to 1.2 billion pounds due to the success of EEPROM in its operation After a partial shutdown, EPROM succeeded in operating all ERC units, which had investments costs of 4.3 billion USD. His Excellency, Eng. Tarek Elmolla, the Petroleum Minister, has been following up along with EPROM staff, all updates inside ERC Refinery, till EPROM, with Dr. Eng. / Nael Darwish on top of it succeeded in achieving 100% operation of the project.
In addition, AlQalaa Holding reported that the operating profit of the Egyptian Refining Company (ERC) before tax, interest, depreciation and amortization rose to 1.2 billion EGP during the third quarter of 2021, compared to 182.1 million EGP during the same period in the previous year. This increase was supported by the improved performance of the ERC. It should be noted that all the technical management work of the ERC is carried out by the Egyptian Projects Operation and Maintenance (EPROM), which is wholly owned by the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation.
EPROM has completed some repairs to the hydrogen cracking unit of the Egyptian Refining Project, and the production capacity has been raised to 100%. These repairs are implemented routinely to guarantee the performance of the operating units. The Egyptian Refinery is considered one of the most important refining projects in Egypt and Africa due to its advanced technologies and the application of the latest quality management systems, safety and health systems, and environmental standards related to emissions. The company produces petroleum products of high quality and value, and in accordance with the international standards. The investment cost of the project amounted to 4.3 billion USD, which is equivalent to about 70 billion EGP, and it produces about 4.7 million tons annually of petroleum products, ranging from diesel, gasoline, jet fuel and some other products.
