The Electrical Maintenance Engineer is responsible for carrying out all Electrical Equipment activities during normal operation in collaboration with the project O&M management team.The Electrical Maintenance Engineer provides technical assurance overview and support for Electrical equipment systems and documentation to ensure safe, reliable, and cost effective operation and maintenance.
1-Electrical engineer provides leadership, technical expertise and business perspective in all areas related to the plant's electrical systems.
2-This position is responsible for preventative maintenance programs, coordination of improvement and new projects and cost/budget management.
3-Works with operating and maintenance teams to drive continuous improvement and reliability of electrical components, equipment and systems. This position is within the Technical group.
4-Provide technical expertise for troubleshooting of refinery equipment, including power distribution systems, motor controls, switch gear, UPS systems, and substations.
5-Responsible for electrical systems installation, testing, and start-up.
6-Project duties include design development, construction scope, drawing preparation, construction support, and start-up supervision.
7-Responsible for maintenance support and reliability of existing electrical equipment.
8-Assist with maintenance planning and execution of major equipment repairs and unit turnarounds as needed.
9-Participate in refining electrical reliability network, industry technical societies, and support engineering standards maintenance and development.
10- Coordinate and supervise work of contractors including liaison with vendors.
11-To manage the electrical maintenance functions, and supervise the electrical maintenance and repair activities within Field electrical equipment at the tank farm. An electrical engineer must be knowledgeable in the principles and operations of various bus transfer schemes; communication-based transfer trips, zone-interlocking, arc flash protection and load shedding applications. Understanding of three phase power system sequence components, relay coordination and various relay protection principles and concepts integrating feeders, transformers, generators, motors, variable speed drives, soft starters and bus protection schemes, is essential.
1-Extensive knowledge in Maintaining Tank farms.
2-Utilize Microsoft office software, including email.
3-Maintain plant conditions within safe operating and environmental limits.
4-Able to communicate in English written and spoken.
5-Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering.
6-Minimum 6 – 9 years of experience in similar position in oil and gas industry.
