An Oil Refinery Located in Mostorod Area , Cairo , EGYPT, with capacity 140,000 BPD, Operates different units as NHT, CCR, DHT, HCU, HPU, VDU, DCU, DEU, Sour Water Stripping Unit , Amine Treatment and Regeneration Unit, Utilities, Sulfur Recovery Unit , and TGU.

  1. Improve mechanical equipment reliability and availability through the implementation of Reliability engineering principles, techniques and tools, such as Risk Based Maintenance (RBM) and Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA).
  2. Coordinate with other Maintenance Divisions and the Operations Department in the Refinery to discuss, develop, review and manage mechanical equipment maintenance and reliability strategies.
  3. Contribute to the development of Predictive and Preventative Maintenance plans and procedures for all mechanical equipment, and provide technical expertise for mechanical equipment maintenance activities, standards and procedures.
  4. Provide technical assistance and trouble-shooting support for all mechanical equipment, and ensure that all maintenance activities and procedures are aligned with reliability requirements.
  5. Champion the engineering for static equipment (such as pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, steam boiler systems, piping and valves). Support the Area Maintenance Team Leaders and their respective teams.
  6. Work closely with other Maintenance Divisions to determine and predict mechanical equipment components’ life using appropriate reliability tools, such as Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Mean time between failures (MTBF) and Mean Time To Failure (MTTF), to ensure extended operating life of rotating equipment
  7. Provide technical advice with regards to searching for and preparing new mechanical equipment proposals, and review equipment specifications, documents and drawings.
  8. Ensure keeping, maintaining and updating a database of all historical data pertaining to mechanical equipment failures, and assist in analyzing failure data and preparing reliability test report.
  9. Define, manage and review equipment maintenance strategies. Develop maintenance procedures to support these strategies. Provide technical assistance and trouble-shooting support for all equipment.
  10. Develop ten-year renovation plans / budgets based on risk management of obsolescence equipment. Approve and supervise the engineering and design of modifications, (technical) for all static equipment and piping systems.
  11. Define spare part requirements for static equipment, employing Risk Based Maintenance and FMECA. Perform regular audits to ensure working capital is optimized, stock levels are maintained and obsolete equipment is removed.
