Control and Instrumentation Engineer

EPROM is looking for one experienced and motivated individual Engineer to fill the role of Instrumentation and Controls Engineer in our projects in different locations inside Egypt. A control and instrumentation engineer (C&I engineer) is responsible for commissioning maintaining equipment which is used to monitor and control engineering systems, machinery and processes. C&I engineer make sure that these systems and processes operate effectively, efficiently and safely.



(During plant pre-start-up phase):

  • Participate in Plant commissioning activities, raise I&C punch list items and warranty claims as appropriate.
  • Support and assist in the continuous improvement of HSEQ policies and procedures.
  • Review vendors’ documents, maintenance manuals and spare parts lists. Draft Instruments maintenance procedures necessary for Plant operations and participate in CMMS development and implementation.

(During Plant operational phase):

  • Testing, maintaining and modifying existing Control systems (DCS, ESD, SCADA, Fire and Gas monitoring and protection system, Plant instruments, Vendor packages, Rotating equipment, Analyzers, etc…).
  • Manages other instrumentation and control engineers and technicians to effectively complete work with attention to detail
  • Diagnose problems and consults with others on solutions to unusual, difficult, or complex tasks
  • Develops scopes of work for I&C systems.
  • Ensure all activities and operations are carried out in line with existing safety rules and regulation and code of discipline, corporate policies and guidelines
  • Contribute to Prepare the annual budgets for the Instrument maintenance section and monitor budgets on a periodic basis to control expenditure adhere to established budget
  • Co-ordinates procurements of spares, tools & consumables from company’s stores, local market.


Experience with the above key duties and responsibilities described above are a requirement.

  • Bachelors of Science in Communication / Electronic engineering or related degree required.
  • 5 -8 years of experience in instrumentation and controls.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work with minimum supervision on medium to large instrumentation and control systems
