Egyptian Projects Operation and Maintenance Co. “EPROM” plays a pivotal strategic role in “MIDOR” national expansion project, whose investment is around 2.3 billion USD and contributes in achieving the Petroleum Ministry strategic goals in fulfilling Egypt’s needs from Petroleum products in 2023.
EPROM effectively participates in all phases of the MIDOR expansion project starting from project feasibility studies till the final stages of its operation and tying it to the current refinery depending on EPROM’s experience and special team who contributed in operating MIDOR refinery since its establishment 2002.
EPROM’s role varies between reviewing the project’s feasibility studies, and assessing its environmental and societal impact.
In addition, EPROM supervises all project’s implementation phases, including reviewing the engineering designs and technical specifications, choosing suppliers, and site construction and installation phases. EPROM participates in the pre-commissioning & commissioning of the units, till it reaches its target production capacity.
EPROM’s role is also shown in security and safety of the plant during the phase of construction, as it is a vast project with a large number of employees, participating in the current operational units, while ensuring the achievement of MIDOR’s production plan simultaneously with the implementation of the expansion project. (2019 till 2023).
